I am a writer, a blogger, an associate professor at the University of Connecticut School of Law, and the vice chair of the Southern Center for Human Rights.

My main blog on economics, law, and public policy is The Baseline Scenario, which I share with Simon Johnson. You can follow The Baseline Scenario via emailRSS, or Facebook. You can see some of my favorite blog posts and articles on the Highlights page. I also publish most of my blog posts to Medium, if you prefer that. I very occasionally write online articles for The Atlantic. I don’t really update the blog on this site, but I do use it to host PDF versions of my papers. You can also find a list of all of my publications.

You can follow all of my online activities via Twitter or Facebook.

My latest book is White House Burning: The Founding Fathers, Our National Debt, and Why It Matters To You (Pantheon, 2012), co-authored with Simon.

Simon and I also wrote 13 Bankers: The Wall Street Takeover and the Next Financial Meltdown (Pantheon, 2010).
